As someone who has always been totally blind I appreciate high quality materials and construction, – especially hand-crafted things. Although this is not it feels nice in my hands. Do I wish the wood were mahogany or walnut? Of course; I would buy a new one just for the upgraded wood. Populus is the easy and inexpensive path of recourse but it is sturdy and durable withal. The one thing I wish were added is a Vynafoam grip as offered with the push brooms. Also, I wish to have a heavy duty [blue?] bristle variant to scrub debris for which these fine bristles are useless. For everyday average typical debris this is quite nice. For all other debris this is inadequate and insufficient.
